Story
A team of 15 women from Riverstone (Tash, Sue, Gina, Ellen, Sophie, Ashley, Ruth, Linnea, Dervla, Sam, Raksha, Ellie, Jodie, Emma and Charlotte) are taking on the RISE 8K Undercliff Run for Women 2025. James has also very kindly offered to volunteer at the event on the day. Their collective aim is to raise awareness and funds for this fantastic Brighton-based charity.
A bit more about RISE:
We help those affected by domestic abuse and we work alongside survivors by giving practical support to help them rebuild safer lives. This can only be achieved through the money raised at our events, including the RISE 8K.
RISE is a Brighton based domestic violence and abuse charity that has worked for 30 years to end all forms of violence and abuse against women, their families and those identifying as LGBTQ+. RISE stands for Refuge, Information, Support and Education; our strategic mission is: freedom from abuse and violence. RISE reaches across Brighton & Hove, providing wrap-around services for adults and children on their recovery journey, following experiences of domestic abuse. Our essential services include specialist one-to-one therapy, therapeutic survivor groups, an LGBTQ+ refuge, work with children and families, as well as community engagement projects.
