Story
In April 2026, I will be taking on the huge challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for UHNM Charity. Some of you may recall I ran LLHM 2025 for UHNM Charity, raising money for the Children's Intensive Care Unit.
The event was incredible, the support throughout the course was phenomenal, and I was absolutely ecstatic when I crossed the finish line having run the whole way round! Given I am not a fitness fanatic, this was a big achievement!
4 days before I ran LLHM, my Grandad was rushed into A&E acutely unwell. He was transferred to FEAU later that day (The Frail Elderly Assessment Unit) on a palliative pathway. My Grandad passed away later that night.
The care that he received on FEAU, the dignity with which he was treated and the kindness and support that was offered to us as a family, I will never forget. To be able to give something back would be my way of saying thank you, whether it be money put towards equipment, resources, or simply something to put towards improving the facilities that could benefit the wonderful staff or the patients and their families on the unit.
Thank you so much in advance for donating whatever you can, it really will make a massive difference.
