I am reaching out to let people know that I am retiring on Thursday 9th January 2025. This date is significant as it was my first day in 1995 and will be my last day for 2025 with 30 years in between.

I heard about the Charity many years ago when my daughter Michelle had cardiac surgery in Guys Hospital. I would never leave the bedside but now encourage families to stay here and get a good nights sleep. This House has been a second home to me. I went through cancer and the Charity, as well as looking after the families, looked after me, and for that I will be forever grateful.

I have met thousands of families over the past 30 years and will be thinking of them as I walk.

The walk is planned for 13th 14th 15th & 16th December. Start time each day 2.00pm. I am hoping to do a total of 30 laps across 4 days.

Refreshments will be in the Day Room at the Evelina House afterwards and everyone is welcome to join me :)
