Help Us Transform Two Outdoor Spaces for Our Patients!
We’re raising funds for a wonderful new project that will bring life and purpose to two currently unused outdoor areas at our hospital.
The Wellbeing Courtyard
This area will be a calm, accessible space where patients can relax, enjoy fresh air, and have a change of scenery during their recovery. Whether sitting quietly among plants or spending time with loved ones outdoors, this space will support healing and emotional well-being. This space will be upkept through horticulture occupational therapy sessions.
Mick's Allotment
This space will be dedicated to Mick, a beloved porter who supported our patient cohort for many years. His death deeply affected staff and patients alike, and this project offers a way to honour his legacy through shared work and positive change.
This space will be designed for use by Occupational Therapists, enabling patients to take part in gardening-based rehabilitation. Planting, digging, watering, and harvesting will help build strength, coordination, and confidence — all while connecting with nature.
Both areas will play a vital role in recovery and rehabilitation — promoting physical, cognitive, and emotional health. See the before and after images of both areas (AI created the after images for inspiration!).
Every donation brings us closer to making this project a reality. Thank you for your support!
