In April 2023, I crossed the finish line of the London Marathon, fuelled by determination, memories, and an unwavering promise. That promise was to honour the life of my beloved wife, Kirsty, who was taken from us far too soon by sarcoma cancer at just 28 years old. Through "Kirsty's Promise," I aimed to raise awareness and funds for Sarcoma UK, a charity dedicated to supporting those affected by this rare and aggressive cancer.

The London Marathon was more than a race it was a testament to resilience, love, and community spirit. It helped give me a second start at life. Thanks to the incredible support from friends, family, and even strangers, I surpassed my fundraising goal, raising £2,450—a figure that speaks volumes about the impact Kirsty had on those who knew her and the power of collective goodwill.

But my journey doesn't end there. Inspired by the overwhelming support and the continuous need to fight sarcoma, I am lacing up my running shoes once again—this time for the Paris Marathon. Running through the heart of this iconic city, I am running for people who are currently going through treatment and receiving treatment knowing that each step I take is making a difference. I carry not just the memory of Kirsty but also the hope that each step I take brings us closer to better treatments, greater awareness, and ultimately, a cure. Giving those who need it a second possible chance at life.

Fundraising isn't just about the money; it's about the stories we share and the lives we touch.
