Dementia is one of the reasons this means so much to me personally.

I watched my Dad battle the onset of dementia as well as agressive cancer that eventuallytook him and it's incredibly difficult to put into words what it does not only to the person living with it, but to everyone who loves them.

You don't just watch someone you love become ill. There can be moments where you feel like you're losing little pieces of the person you've known your whole life.

And I know I'm not alone.

As we've brought the Road and Rogues group together and talked about why we're doing this, it's become clear just how many of us have our own stories.

Parents. Grandparents. Partners. Friends.

People we've lost, people currently living with dementia, and families quietly dealing with everything that comes with it every single day.

That's why we're supporting Race Against Dementia.

We're a group of ordinary people with a shared love of cars and motorsport, and we've decided to take that passion and try to turn it into something positive.

Our Charity Track Day at Castle Combe on 26 October 2026 is one part of what we're doing, but we don't want this to be about one event or one day.

In partnership with RSFFE track days we want to continue bringing people together, creating events, raising awareness and raising as much money as we possibly can for causes that have genuinely touched our lives.

There is something particularly fitting about a group of motorsport enthusiasts supporting Race Against Dementia.

We're using speed to fight something that has taken far too much from far too many families.

For me, I'll always have one person in my mind when we're doing it.

My Dad.

But everyone in our group has their own reason for being there.

So when those cars head out onto the circuit, they're not just doing laps.

Some will be driving in memory of somebody.

Some will be driving for somebody who's living with dementia today.

And all of us will be driving in the hope that the money we raise can help create a future where other families don't have to experience what ours have.

Every car has a story. Every person has a reason.
