I am incredibly grateful to have secured a place in the Great North Run 2025, and I have chosen to run for a cause that is very dear to my heart: the Garstang and District Children's Festival. This wonderful event brings immense joy to local children and fosters a sense of community among the people of Garstang and its surrounding areas. Each year, countless volunteers dedicate their time and effort to ensure this festival is a success, but as you can imagine, organizing an event of this magnitude requires significant funding.

Most of the money needed for the festival is raised through generous donations on the day of the event and throughout the year. My goal is to raise £500 to help support next year's festival, ensuring that it continues to thrive and bring happiness to our children.

While I may not be the fastest runner,, and nearly 60, I am committed to completing this half marathon on September 7th, 2025, with your support.
