Story
During National Cadets Week (5th – 8th Oct), myself, my colleague Lewis Flynn and members of the Corps Veterans Association (CVA) will take to the road for Raise the Standard, a four-day, 1300 mile charity motorcycle ride supporting our Road to 10K campaign for Rhondda Sea Cadets.
Supported along the way by clients and Corps colleagues, the ride will travel across the UK, visiting cadet units, connecting communities, and raising awareness of the incredible impact cadet organisations have on young people.
Most importantly, it will help us move closer to our goal of raising £10,000 for a new minibus for Rhondda Sea Cadets.
Why I'm riding.......
The Corps Veterans Association currently supports cadet units across the UK through annual donations and partnership activities. Road to 10K is our first cadet focussed fundraising initiative, launched to help Rhondda Sea Cadets purchase a new, much-needed minibus.
From 5-8 October, riders will travel across England, Wales and Scotland, visiting cadet units, presenting them with a £250 donation from Corps Veterans Association and engaging with cadets, volunteers, veterans and local communities along the route.
We're raising money as part of Road to 10k, this page will continue until we reach the goal of £10,000.
