Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page - seriously, bless you for clicking through; as you can imagine, not many people do.
My wonderful Dad Barney lived with Parkinson's for the last couple of decades of his life. He was diagnosed at 59 - not much older than I am now - and died in 2019, just shy of his 77th birthday. One of the first things he did when he first got that diagnosis was volunteer for Parkinson's UK, and it was that commitment as much as his condition that inspired me to start fundraising for them too. Since then, through a mix of runs, quizzes, comedy gigs and other shenanigans - and most importantly the generosity of wonderful people like you - I've raised about £200k.
But there's still so much to be done.
Whether it's dedicated nurses, the search for a cure, or day-to-day support for people living with Parkinson's and their care-givers, Parkinson's UK are working on it - but they need your help.
Who do you know who's got Parkinson's? Someone, I bet. Think of them and give generously.
