Story
On Monday 20th April 2026, Tom, Martin, Rob and Graeme set off on the second stage on an epic charity challenge - cycling from Norwich to Gallipoli, right down in the heel of Italy.
Starting in Verona at the foot of the Dolomites, this second ride begins in the city where three of us completed the first leg, back in 2019. The route will take us almost the full length of Italy, across the plains of Veneto to Bologna, then on to Florence before traversing the beautiful Tuscan hills. From there we pick up the legendary Strade Bianchi, whose white chalk lanes will guide us to Siena, then onwards to Rome. Crossing the Apennine mountains, with peaks of almost 3,000m, we drop down to the west coast for the final leg south towards Puglia.
All being well, we will arrive in Gallipoli after two weeks and 1,000 miles in the saddle. Memories will be made, punctures will be repaired, and a whole lot of carb loading will be required.
We’re taking on this challenge not only because we are a little bit mad, but also in the hope of raising money for Cancer Research UK, funding research into the treatment of a disease that has had an impact on those close to all of us in different ways.
We are very grateful for any support you can share for this important cause. Thank you.
Tom, Martin, Rob and Graeme
