Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

A couple of days after my 59th birthday I will be setting off from Lands End to walk the length of Great Britain. A distance of 1078 miles plus all the wrong turns, detours to tea shops, inaccuracies in my calculations and nipping behind hedges for a wee! My dad always wanted to cycle this route, unfortunately he passed away before he was able to, so as I am not a great cyclist I will be walking it on his behalf.

The plan is to start on 25th Feb and to finish on 17th May, 68 days of walking plus a total of 14 days with my feet up and the TV on!

After casting round for the best charity to support, I settled on the Gingerbread Centre in Stoke. The Gingerbread Centre do amazing work for vulnerable parents with kids by providing them accomodation, help with life skills and a way to get back on their feet. Having visited the centre I saw what happens there and know that any donations make a real difference. I will be covering my accommodation and food costs along the way, so any money you donate will go straight to the Gingerbread Centre.
