Stepping Up for Butterfly Hospice

The National 3 Peaks Challenge, 7 Sisters & Glyders in 2024 · 9 August 2024
Hello Friends and Family,
I'm thrilled to share that I have completed a series of challenging and rewarding adventures across some of the UK's most stunning landscapes.
This journey wasn't just for the thrill; it was a heartfelt tribute to the exceptional care the Butterfly Hospice in Boston, Lincolnshire, provided my beloved Gran in her final days.
Inspired by the compassion she received, I dedicated my efforts to support this wonderful institution in her memory.
I've completed three spectacular long-distance walks across some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the UK. Each step I took was in honor of my Gran and to support those in need of the same loving care she received.
The Glyderau (commonly called the Glyders): is a mountain range in Snowdonia National Park. The range takes its name from the two highest peaks in the range – Glyder Fawr (1001m) and Glyder Fach (994m).

Seven Sisters: The white jigsaw-edge cliffs piece together perfectly with the turquoise sea to create one of the most phenomenal coastal walks in the world. The most well-known route stretches from Seaford to Eastbourne and covers 22.5 kilometers.

Three Peaks Challenge: A grueling trek across the three highest peaks of Scotland, England, and Wales in under 24 hours. These peaks are Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England, and Snowdon in Wales. I will need to complete Ben Nevis in 5½ hours, Scafell Pike in 4½ hours and Snowdon in 4 hours. The standard for measuring your official total time on the event is mountain time plus a fixed 10 hour drive time.
