Helping homeless people in Cambridge

Rob Lake is raising money for It takes a City (Cambridge)
It Takes a City was formed to find new ways for everyone in the community to work together, in partnership, to bring a permanent end to rough sleeping. We also provide winter accommodation with 24/7 support followed by year-round transitional "survive and thrive" support.

Story

Help please.

It Takes a City, a charity where I’m a volunteer and a trustee, supports homeless people. We provide accommodation from November to March for people who would otherwise be on the street. Three people were left with only very short-term new accommodation when the project closed this year. A church has generously provided a house. But we need more funds to cover running costs. This will enable us to support these three people until they can find something longer-term and get back on their feet.

Anything you can give will be spent directly on essentials such as rent, gas and electricity bills, and transport to medical appointments.

Thank you.
