Leaving Jersey on 16th September I will be heading to Peru in South America to take on the Inca Trail trek to Maccu Piccu.

Whilst this is a 'bucket list' item for me personally, I am taking on this challenge in support of Dementia Jersey who provide invaluable support to people and their families affected by this cruel condition.

Machu Picchu is one of the most iconic sights in South America, and the culmination of the Inca Trail trek through the Peruvian Andes. Trekking on Inca-paved paths and steps, the route takes us up through lush cloudforest to the demanding Dead Woman’s Pass (4200m). Continually climbing up or dropping down, the way is steep at times, and the altitude adds to the challenge - especially given my level (lack of) fitness!

The trip is 100% self-funded so every penny donated goes to Dementia Jersey.
