Story
On May 12th myself, Mike Toney and Joe Rossiter have signed up to run the Leeds Marathon in support of the MND Association.
We are old football team mates from our days at Norte Dame Football Academy and we have each been training for this challenge since the turn of the year.
Back in our ND days we were heavily influenced and motivated in both our studies and football development by a great man.
This great man to this day continues to motivate us and all who have been fortunate to be in his presence as either a coach, teacher or friend.
The man and great friend of ours is Tony Palma. Palma to many! He has, and continues to inspire and fight with all his strength and Italian stubbornly attitude towards the diagnosis of Motor Neurones Disease (MND) which he has defied for over 10 years.
The courage of Tony and his beautiful family is a credit to them all and we hope we can raise some money to support others with MND now and in the future.
Any donation would be very much appreciated and will definitely help each of us continue our long early morning runs and aches and pains as we train our bodies to be up to the challenge the lumpy 26.2 miles will present.
Thank you all for your support to us and the charity!
Much love,
Robbie, Mike & Joe
