Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
At Associated British Ports (ABP), being good neighbours to the communities surrounding our ports is important to us and each year we love to get together, enjoy a day in the saddle, have some fun, hurt a little bit and raise some funds for a local cause. This year we are cycling the 111 miles from our Old Custom House base in Ipswich to the Port of Lowestoft and back again.
Following a breakfast talk at Ipswich Town FC, we have this year decided to raise money for The Ipswich Town Foundation. This is a fantastic charity that, independently from the football club, raises money to support a wide range of football and sporting activities, to engage, inspire and develop as many people as possible. This includes initiatives such as:
Powerchair Football, which is designed to provide a safe and inclusive space for people of all ages who require the use of a powerchair for mobility to engage in football.
Golden Days Café, that provides a safe space for those living with dementia.
Holiday activities for Suffolk School Children and groups for the older community assisting with combating loneliness.
All of the money raised stays in Suffolk and assists the local community. Anything you are able to give us to support us, both on the day and in raising some much needed funds for this brilliant charity, would be much appreciated.
