Yorkshire Wolds way run jog walk · 14 September 2024

EVERY 90 SECONDS someone in the UK is admitted to hospital with an acquired brain injury (ABI). There are many possible causes, such as a fall, a road traffic accident, an assault, a tumour or a stroke. A brain injury can happen to anyone, at any time. When it does, we're here to help

Story

My daughter and myself are doing the Wolds way in memory of one of my best friends. I know having a brain injury changes your life so I hope I can raise awareness and a bit of money to help someone who suffers an unfortunate injury. My daughter is competing with me even though she has had surgery but we are determined to raise as much as we can to aid people to the support they need to lead a normal life. This event covers 79 miles of the Yorkshire Wolds over varying terains. We are aiming to complete this in as short a time as possible. I know first hand how a brain injury affects a person so hopefully we can help at least one person on the road to recovery.
