Pop has suffered with his terminal illness for a few years now, but the one constant was that he has been supported by the incredible Martlets Hospice team throughout. When his health declined steeply last year, it really hit home how essential they have been for him and our family. That was the start of this mad plan to run the Brighton Marathon. If we could raise any money at all to continue the vital and inspiring work of the Martlets team, then that would be well worth 26 miles of pain (probably).

Palliative care isn't something that we think about until it's absolutely needed. Any contributions to help others, as Martlets have been there for our dad, would help make the blisters hurt a little less.
