On 14 November, I will be in a group of 200 people spending a night sleeping rough to raise vital funds for the Alabaré charity. While Alabaré’s important work helps people from all walks of life out of homelessness by providing safe housing, mental health support, skills training, and pathways to independence, this particular event is dedicated to supporting Armed Forces Veterans who are facing the challenges of homelessness. For the night, I will be swapping a warm bed for the outdoors, equipped only with a sleeping bag, a ground mat, and an emergency bivy bag in case of rain.

This is not just a personal challenge, but a meaningful opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of former service personnel who need our support.
