Rob's fundraiser for Alder Hey Children's Charity

Northern Traverse 300KM race · 5 April 2025
Our family, less than a month ago, received news of my 12 year old nephew who has been diagnosed Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, he is currently under care at Alder Hey Children’s hospital undergoing intense chemotherapy, IV chemo, oral chemo, intrathecal chemo and will soon be going through immunotherapy too.
All of this has come fast and alder hey have been brilliant so far and are still looking after him, putting the hard work in to get him better. Giving excellent service, acting fast on treatments.
Not only is this for our nephew but for any child that is unfortunate enough to need the medical help from alder hey hospital that do great life saving things day in day out.
Although I have raised money for another charity this is another cause and charity that is close to heart that deserves massive recognition.
April the 5th I will be setting off to race 300km, The Northern Traverse.
The Northern Traverse is a 300km ultra, with 6500m ascent, following Wainwright’s coast to coast route.
Beginning at St Bees on the west coast, the route crosses the north of England through three National Parks, the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Yorkshire Moors, finishing in Robin Hood’s Bay on the east coast.
