On Friday, 10th October, I'm taking part in the Hackney Night Shelter's annual Sleep Out fundraiser. Braving the cold, hard ground until Saturday morning.

As a local resident, I've witnessed first-hand the devastating impact of homelessness on the streets of the community. 

Hackney Night Shelter are amazing!

They provide emergency bed spaces and support for people experiencing homelessness. Last year they supported 218 people facing homelessness, with 90% of their guests moving on positively to longer-term accommodation.
