Cross Country Trains fundraiser for WAY - Widowed And Young

Stuart Scarbrough is raising money for WAY - Widowed And Young

Robbo's Ramble · 29 March 2023

WAY offers a peer-to-peer support to anyone whose partner died when they were aged 50 or under, married or not, with or without children, inclusive of sexual orientation, gender, race and religion.

Story

Cross Country Trains Regional Director John Robson has had the crazy idea to walk up to 14 miles between Lichfield Trent Valley Station and Hednesford along the Heart of England Way. As he is the boss, he also managed to rope in his colleagues from the East Midlands & East Anglia and West Midlands & North West teams to join him!

Update.......The news of the event has now spread across to other regional colleagues and functions, so what was once a quiet stroll now promises to be a collaborative challenge!

We have chosen to support WAY Widowed and Young to raise awareness of those who have been widowed young and raise funds so that the charity can continue to support members throughout the UK.
