Doctors and scientists at the Euan MacDonald Centre undertake vital research into motor neuron disease (MND); a condition that causes muscle weakness and paralysis, difficulty speaking, swallowing and breathing. It is life-shortening and there is currently no effective treatment or cure. Uniting over 200 doctors, scientists and NHS healthcare professionals across Scotland, we aim to improve the lives of people living with MND, and to slow, stop and eventually reverse this devastating condition.
