The 2024 Miles for Madonna Race Captain, Steve Scott, is one of many patients that Madonna has served. When Steve arrived at Madonna in January 2024, he was in a wheelchair with a lot of pain from a rare neurological disorder.

"I remember distinctly one of my first therapy sessions was just stretching, trying to get muscles moving and things going again. It was difficult. It was painful. You start thinking to yourself, maybe this is where I'm at the rest of my life. You start really thinking the worst, but hoping for the best. I knew I'm in the right place, but I'm going to do everything I can possibly can to get back to not just life as it was, but a higher version of that."

After 3 weeks of hard work as inpatient, he not only walked out of Madonna, but was able to begin running on the treadmill. After 6 more weeks of the Rehab Day Program, has hasn't slowed down since.
