On Sunday 21st April 2024, I am running the London Marathon (all 26.2 miles of it....). I'd like to raise some money for the Nottingham Hospitals Charity - Hogarth/Gervis Pearson Ward Roof garden.

Hogarth / Gervis is an Oncology Ward at the Nottingham University Hospital - staffed by wonderful Doctors, Nurses and support staff. It is somewhere I've visited recently, to see a friend who is undergoing Chemotherapy.

For weeks at a time (4 weeks in the case of my friend), the patients have drips to receive the necessary medication - during which time, their ability to leave the ward is very restricted.

The ward has a roof garden outside space, to provide patients (and staff) much needed fresh air, but this area would really benefit from some enhancement - so those that need it can truly enjoy it.

Any donations no matter how big or small would be truly appreciated, as this space really does provide some needed fresh air at a challenging time for the patients.
