Story
This years Great South Run wont be my longest run to date but certainly the one I have trained hardest for.
It was at last years event that I suffered an injury which resulted in me not being able to take any weight on my left leg at the end of the event and ending up on crutches for 6 weeks. At the start of 2026 I was still struggling to walk properly and throughout this year Its been a slow rehab process. Once I was able to run again in May I turned my thoughts to doing the event again.
I am raising money for British Heart Foundation not only because its MDA Consulting charity this year but its also a cause very close to my family as Coronary Heart Disease was a contributing factor to the untimely and very sudden loss of my Mother in Law 6 years ago.
