Story
I’m running the 5 Valleys Ultra in memory of Ellie Mawdsley, to support the incredible work of the Ellie Mawdsley Foundation and to raise vital funds for brain tumour research.
Ellie was just 23 when we lost her in 2023 to a rare and aggressive brain tumour called DIPG. She was loved by everyone who knew her and is missed every day.
The Ellie Mawdsley Foundation was set up in her name and is helping to raise awareness, fund research and support families facing this devastating diagnosis.
On Saturday 27 September I’ll be running 56.5km from Ambleside to Keswick, climbing to a height of 800m with a total elevation gain of 2303m. It’s a tough challenge, but nothing to compared to what Ellie and so many others with DIPG have faced.
Any donations, no matter how big or small will make a massive difference to so many people. Thanks so much for the support.
