My father has been suffering with Dementia for some time and my mum as his principal carer finds it challenging at times.

We have been very fortunate to have been able to use the facilities at Horsfall House. My dad is a regular to their Day Centre and has had several respite stays with them too.

The care and support is top notch and has been a massive support to my mum and us as a family, we know he is safe and well looked after. This is such a great Charity to support.

I have been fortunate enough to gain a pace for London Marathon in April and I would like to take the opportunity to try and raise some funds for Minchin Hampton Centre for the Elderly. Running a marathon is a massive challenge and I hope that this fundraising page can inspire me when the going gets tough.

It costs £7.60 a minute to run Horsfall House. £250 would cover the costs of getting service users to and from the Day Centre for a whole week. £900 would fund a new specialist bed to improve the wellbeing of residents.

So it doesn't take much to make a real difference and I would be incredibly grateful for any support you feel able to give.
