Story
It’s finally happening! I am riding the Demelza to Demelza challenge. At midday on the 1st August I will be setting off on a ride that almost didn’t happen. Unfortunately, Demelza didn’t have enough people to do the ride but me being me I thought what the hell I’ll do it anyway!!
Here’s the plan:
Day 1: Travel down to Land’s End, have a photo at the iconic sign and set off to the little Village of Demelza in Cornwall which is about 60 miles.
Day 2: Cycle a whopping 140 miles to Dorchester.
Day 3: The final stretch! 120 miles to Guildford.
Day 4: Then the final 80 mile journey through London and down the old A2 to Sittingbourne, to the finish line at the Demelza Head office.
All in all, that’s 400 miles on my todd.
I hate asking for money but Demelza is such an amazing charity doing life changing work for children and their families, so I’m hoping that the above challenge warrants a bit of dosh.
Thank you all for your help
Bob
