Story
Hello!
As some of you know, will be lacing up to run the London Marathon in a few weeks time. Fingers crossed, my body holds up from a few recent niggles.
Have decided to run this in memory of my loving Aunty Jenny who tragically was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma cancer in early 2021, passing away shortly after.
For context, she was my carer from 6 months old to early teens, taking me to & from school daily, playing a pivotal role in shaping the person I am today.
Cancer is unfortunately becoming more prominent with the estimated risk that one in two of us will develop cancer during our lifetime. Have no doubt it has affected many who read this already.
Am running to support Cancer Council Australia with all donations going directly to the charity to work towards a future of less people with cancer, more people survive their diagnoses and every adult / child has access to relevant treatment, care & support.
Even if only minor steps, want to play my role in helping those suffering from cancer as well as family & friends around them who are just as effected.
Any support is greatly appreciated and will go a long way with the charity.
Many thanks for your support,
Robbie
