Robert's London to Paris Ride for Action Medical Research

London to Paris — 4–6 September 2026

In September I will be doing more than my usual quiet outings and cycling from London to Paris as part of Montare 2026, raising money for Action Medical Research.

Over three days we will make our way from London to Paris — about 100 m a day which will be a stretch and undoubtedly involving a few uncomfortable miles along the way.

More importantly, the ride is raising money for an excellent cause.

Action Medical Research funds vital research to help sick and disabled babies, children and young people. For more than 70 years the charity has helped fund medical breakthroughs, including work connected with polio, meningitis and ultrasound scanning in pregnancy. Today it continues to support research into premature birth, childhood disability and rare and currently incurable diseases.

I have set myself a target of £2,000.

Anything you can contribute would be most appreciated and will certainly provide some extra incentive as we head towards Paris
