Story
On the 8th March 2026, I’ll be taking on the Cambridge Half Marathon, but not in the usual way. I’ll be running the 13.1 miles in full firefighting kit, carrying Breathing Apparatus on my back, to raise vital funds for MAGPAS Air Ambulance
This challenge is about more than just endurance. Firefighting kit adds significant extra weight, traps heat, and makes every step tougher, but that’s the point. It’s a way of honouring the strength and resilience. I will be raising vital funds for Magpas Air Ambulance, the lifesaving charity supporting the East of England 24/7.
Donations towards this challenge will mean that their medical team can continue to offer lifesaving care at the scene of medical emergencies. The frontline care they deliver doesn't just save lives, it helps seriously ill and injured people return to a good quality of life.
Magpas Air Ambulance does not receive regular state funding, and therefore relies on public donations. With us, they save lives. Thank you for your support.
