Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 26th April 2025, I am participating in the Ultra White Collar boxing event in Burton on Trent in memory of my son Oliver.
We lost Oliver to knife crime on the 11th December 2021, a day before his 20th birthday.
Since then, we have been working with knife crime charities to try and make a difference so other families never have to go through the pain and heartache that we still endure.
This is our first fundraising event to combat knife crime in 2025. Our chosen charity is Charlie's Promise. Charlie Cosser, who was only 17, lost his life at a party, just like Oliver, whilst trying to protect others. Our boys never came home, their lives where cruelly taken from them by knife crime.
Martin and Tara Cosser work tirelessly to educate young people, far and wide about the impact and consequences of choosing to carry a knife.
Through our shared grief, we have become friends and support each other through our darkest days.
Losing a child through knife crime is a grief and pain that is undescribable and no family should ever have to go through this.
Sadly knife crime is still on the rise and spiraling out of control. However, victims families are standing firm, raising awareness, educating and being the voices of our lost loved ones.
