Donations welcome, in memory of Robert Gibson, in support of Scottish Fire and Rescue Services (SFRS) Family Support Trust.

Robert served as a fire fighter for 32 years. During this time, he served at Ayr Fire Station, Kilmarnock Fire Station and the Training Centre in Cowcaddens, Glasgow. He was a fast but very safe driver of fire engines including HP fire engines and was featured multiple times in the local paper (The Ayrshire Post) for his heroic efforts.

Robert passed away on Friday 6th March 2026 at University Hospital Ayr, with is loving wife Christine by his side.

Robert was a much-loved Dad of Scott, Stacey, Christopher and Kelly and Brother to Angela.

Loving Grandpa to Eithan, Brody, Damon, Darcey, Sophia and Cameron, father-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and great friend to many.
