Story
Hi! It’s your friend Robert from Stratford, Ontario.
When I joined the board of the Stratford General Hospital Foundation (SGHF) I didn’t know that all hospital equipment in Ontario is community funded. This means that the community and not the government pays for everything from beds and desks to MRI machines – wild, I know.
Stratford has two communities – the 40,000 who live here and the hundreds of thousands like you who visit each year.
The hospital would be much smaller if it were not in a world class destination where many visitors use the hospital services, emergency and otherwise. And for those of you who haven’t been to the hospital bless you; but we are equipped should you need us.
I’m asking you,as part of the community of visitors to Stratford, to donate to the SGHF.
Lynn and I support hospitals in other cities. These include the Ottawa Heart Institute as leadership donors for over a decade. And Sick Kids, LHSC, and the Jewish General Hospital. These are hospitals, not in our hometown of Stratford, but in Ottawa, Toronto, London and Montreal. We do it because we admire the organizations and we are comforted that they are there for our family and friends.
I’m thinking that the Stratford General Hospital may not have been on your radar and that you may be able to think of it now. Your donation as a member of our Stratford community of visitors will be meaningful.
Thanks, Robert
