Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 16 July I will be abseiling 147ft from 80 Strand to raise money for Making the Leap. Yes, I do hope it's as enjoyable as it is terrifying, but I've not abseiled off anything since I was young, carefree, and quite frankly, more likely to bounce if the worst happened.
Making The Leap (https://makingtheleap.org.uk/) is an established charity partner of Page Group who help less advantaged young people to fulfil their potential and get into meaningful employment. Employment prospects for young people today are tougher than they have been for years, and applying for a job at the beginning of a career is hard for everyone. But for many, it is even more difficult.
Providing interview skills and support to people through this charity, and listening to their experiences, has helped me understand some of the unfair challenges that so many people face.
We can all name someone who has been luckier or more privileged, but if you're reading this, then I'm sure there are many more who are less lucky and less privileged, and it means a lot to me to try and rebalance that.
I'm thankful for Page Group introducing me to Make The Leap last year. Please help me raise awareness of their good work, and if you're able to donate money too, I'd be very grateful.
