My chosen charity for my year as Captain is Willowbrook Hospice.

Willowbrook Hospice are a local Charity and this year they are celebrating their 27th anniversary. They provide specialist palliative care to the people of St Helens, Knowsley and surrounding areas.

Since the hospice opened its doors in 1997, Willowbrook have provided care, compassion, comfort, love, laughter and warmth to over 10,000 residents.

Willowbrook now receives over a thousand referrals each year. The charity only receives 25% of its funding per year from Government. The rest of its 5 million annual budget is entirely funded by donation and fund-raising activities.

I want to help Willowbrook continue their great work in the community.
