Story

My Step-Father, Stephen Clark, 81 yrs, is a great bloke and a fantastic Husband to my Mum. He has an inoperable brain tumour and is a couple of months into radio and chemotherapy.

My good friend, Nellie Parker, 60 yrs, is, also, a great bloke and a fantastic Husband to Laura. He, also, has an inoperable brain tumour and is a year into radio and chemotherapy.

Every day, they both show inspiring levels of determination, optimism and stoicism. I want to support them by raising money for the Brain Tumour Charity so that the future is a better place for those who find the same misfortune.

How? By cycling a mountain stage (Stage 19) of this year's Tour de France on 20th July 2025. Our ride from Albertville to La Plagne in the French Alps is over 130km (80 miles) with three big climbs resulting in a height gain of 4550m (15,000 feet; more than half of Mount Everest!).

The Brain Tumour Charity is the world's leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Please give generously as they need every penny in their battle against a such a debilitating illness.
