Story

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. We ensure our nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world.

From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.

Back in 1999, a good friend {Geraldine Jones} was diagnosed with leukemia and was treated in the Royal Marsden Cancer Hospital. Unfortunately, she did not survive, however, we saw how all the staff at all levels, in the Royal Marsden Cancer Hospital worked and looked after Geraldine, I decided to try to give something back. So just about every year since {with a few rare exceptions}, my colleagues an I saddle up, and cycle from Leatherhead to the south coastal town of Littlehampton. Although this is only 44 miles, it does cover some very hilly roads. Tough as it may be, we're doing it again this year, and hopefully more years to come.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to read this, we would really appreciate your support with this.

Thank you all, and God Bless.

Robert Hogan.
