Cyclists Fighting Cancer, helps young people living with and beyond cancer to get pedalling on their road to recovery. The effects of cancer and its associated treatment regimes are numerous, and exercise is one of the most effective ways to improve the physical and psychological health and well-being of children undergoing and recovering from treatment. Every year, Explore supports a specific project to help CFC go even further.

In 2025, our fundraising will help CFC purchase 20 Dutch-made infusion trikes for 20 children’s oncology centres in the UK. Hospital stays are difficult and daunting for children, but thanks to this special infusion trike - equipped with IV pumps and bags - they can now move freely while receiving treatment, relieving boredom and helping them stay active. 

Since the trikes made their debut launch at a hospital in Utrecht in September 2024, they have brought much needed joy and mobility to many young patients in Holland. CFC is currently trialling the very first infusion trike in the UK at Sheffield Children’s Hospital, with a view to purchasing more later this year, thanks to your help!

Over three days, 440kms distance and 5,500m climbing I will take on the arduous challenge of cycling from Bilbao to Madrid.
