Story
This year, I've made the decision to run the Belfast Marathon. It's a personal challenge, but more importantly, it's a journey I'm embarking on to raise awareness and funds for an incredible charity - Positive Life NI.
For those unfamiliar with the work they do, Positive Life NI is an organisation dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by HIV in Northern Ireland. Their mission is to promote a positive response to living with and managing HIV, to reduce the stigma associated with the condition, and to provide critical support services to those affected by it.
Every day, Positive Life NI makes a real difference by providing counselling, advocacy, peer support, and education. They ensure people have access to the resources they need and a community that understands and supports them. This work is vitally important, but it cannot continue without our help.
Running the Belfast Marathon is no small task, but it pales in comparison to the challenges faced by those living with HIV. My commitment to this cause is driven by the hope that, together, we can make a significant difference. I believe that we can contribute to improving the quality of life of those affected by HIV, and we can help reduce the stigma associated with it
To reach my fundraising goal, I am asking for your support. Every donation, big or small, goes directly towards Positive Life NI's crucial services. Every penny will make a difference.
In return, I promise to give my all in training and on marathon day. I'll keep you updated with my progress and share my journey with you. Together, we can support those living with HIV in Northern Ireland, providing them with the resources they need to live a positive, fulfilling life.
You can donate directly to my fundraising page, and if you would like more information about Positive Life NI or the services they provide, please visit their website. I'm also more than happy to answer any questions you might have.
I am grateful for your support and generosity. This isn't just about me running a marathon; it's about us, as a community, reaching out to support those who need it most.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Best wishes,
