24 Hour Rower Challenge · 27 September 2024

Our charity cares for adults in Ayrshire and Arran with life-limiting illnesses. We help them live as actively as possible to the end of their lives, however long that may be. Hospice care is open to all. It’s free for patients but it’s not free to provide. So we need to raise over £4M each year.

Story

On Friday 27th September at 5pm the True Fitness Team, made up of staff and members, will begin their 24-hour rowing challenge in aid of the Ayrshire Hospice. For a full 24-hours there will always be a member of the team on the rowing machine, keeping things moving through the night, into the wee hours of the morning all the way right up to 5pm on the Saturday. We will be aiming to cover 275,000 metres during that time.

We have set ourselves this epic challenge to raise money for the wonderful charity that is the Ayrshire Hospice. Many of our members have been touched by the work of the hospice, who are currently undergoing a full redevelopment of the building on Race Course Road, Ayr. We wanted to do what we could to show our support for this worthy cause.

The True Fitness Team will be working hard and digging deep to ensure the challenge is complete, so we hope you can show your support by making a donation to our page. Know that every penny you donate will help those living with life-limiting illnesses in Ayrshire & Arran.

Thank you so much!
