1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer. At Prostate Cancer UK, we’re giving every man the power to navigate it. With over £100 million invested in research, treatment, and care, we’re building a future where prostate cancer no longer cuts men’s lives short. Together, we can help save men’s lives.

Story

Nottingham Men Allowed, 2025. Concert in Aid of Prostate Cancer UK. 6 April 2025.

I'm one of 80 volunteers who are learning to sing together - to have fun, and raise our voices in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.

We never met or sung together - and have just six rehearsals before performing as the Nottingham Men Allowed Choir in the inspiring/daunting setting of the city's Albert Hall on Sunday 6 April 2025 at 7.30pm.

I'm amazed by our progress so far and we're having fantastic time as we work hard to become a singing group worthy of such a splendid venue.

Here's how you can support us:

1. Make a donation to Prostate Cancer UK on our Just Giving Page and help save lives.

UPDATE:

Now sold out! But still fundraising!

2. Buy a ticket to the concert - In addition being wowed by us, you'll be entertained by Carlton Male Voice Choir - staking a rival claim to be Nottingham's premier male voice choir - and Kal's Kats - a superb rhythm and blues band.

If all that's not enough for a great night's entertainment, there's a bar open all night, too.

Book your tickets (before they sell out!):

Please note - making a donation does not provide entry to the concert. Please buy a ticket to enjoy the concert on Sunday 6 April.

Meanwhile, I’m practising a lot at home. Lennie is not impressed.
