Story
This April, I’m donning the trainers for the 2026 London Marathon. Not just to chase a time, but to help tackle one of the biggest challenges facing families across the UK: food poverty. Working at Nectar360 and alongside the incredible teams at Sainsbury’s, I see firsthand the power we have to make a real difference through the brands and partners we work with. That’s why I’m proud to run on behalf of Comic Relief and Sainsbury’s, helping raise vital funds for communities that need it most.
This will be marathon number two for me (apparently one wasn’t enough…). Your support genuinely means everything, especially when the winter intervals & early morning long runs start to bite. Every donation gives me a push to train harder and hopefully beat my first-time PB of 3:26.
There’s 1 in 6 families facing food poverty in the UK right now. That means there’s thousands of families and children who are skipping meals, not eating enough, or not eating at all, simply because they can’t afford to.
Your donations will support an incredible program that is helping millions more people have access to good food, with Comic Relief and Sainsbury’s funding hundreds of incredible charities across the UK every year. I am really excited to get involved and see how much we can raise! Since we launched our food poverty programme with Comic Relief in 2022, we have:
· Donated 60 million meals through over £24m of donations.
· Provided over 150,000 holiday club places so that children can access free food and activities in the school holidays.
· Provided food to over 2.4 million people.
· Saved 16,000 tonnes of food from going to waste.
By donating you’ll be helping our work to ensure we can make good food accessible for everyone, every day.
