Over the next year or so I have decided to challenge myself by taking part in a number of events, and along the way raise some money for good causes.

As one of my first, I will be taking on a triathlon style event on Race the Sun Jurassic Coast for children's charity Action Medical Research.

In June I will be setting off at sunrise to bike (44.8km), hike (14.4km) and paddle (3.2km) around a challenging course in a race against the sun.

I'm racing in aid of children's charity, Action Medical Research. They have spent over 70 years funding vital research to help defeat the diseases that devastate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children, and young people.

With your support you will be helping to find ways to reduce premature birth, to support children facing a lifetime of challenges caused by disabilities, and to develop cutting-edge therapies for rare and incurable diseases.
