Story
With Aled turning 40 in May and us celebrating 7 years of marriage in the same month it seems an appropriate time to throw ourselves off a building.
As it happens Wales Millennium Centre is offering the opportunity for us to do just that on Sunday 25th May, on the condition that we raise some much needed cash towards their charitable activities, described below.
Given Lisa’s passion for the creative arts, supporting a mission that opens up access to the arts for everyone is particularly close to her heart. That’s why, for once, she’s agreed to abseil down a wall — instead of driving Aled up one!
We would be incredibly grateful for any donations to help us reach our fundraising goal and to support this important cause.
Thank you so much for your support!
In November 2024 Wales Millennium Centre marks 20 years since the late HRH Queen Elizabeth II opened the doors to the building. Since then, we have been firing imaginations through world-class theatre, music, opera, community events, creative opportunities and digital experiences.
None of this would be possible with the generous support of people like you.
To help us celebrate this milestone birthday and support the work we do beyond the stage, we would love for you to raise funds by taking part in one of the abseils around the building on Sunday 25th and Monday 26th May 2025.
You’ll be helping us to reach our fundraising target of £40,000. This helps us to provide:
- Training programmes and creative opportunities for young people
- Community tickets schemes to ensure everyone has access to our shows
- Support, training and space for local artists to develop their work
- A free family programme, all year round
