Robin's fundraiser for West Midlands Anti-Slavery Network

Robin Brierley is raising money for West Midlands Anti-Slavery Network

Rotary Across Wales Walk 2026 · 20 June 2026

Your Donation enables us to: • Protect and support vulnerable adults, who have experienced or are currently facing exploitation, slavery and/or trafficking. • Provide direct case work support to adults in preventing exploitation and aiding their recovery. • Raise Awareness within the West Midlands. • Assist and advise professionals to recognise the signs of modern slavery. • Forge partnerships within the region to bolster support for victims and to eradicate crimes of modern slavery. Your donations will contribute to the following projects: SafePlace – SafePlace offers emergency accommodation and support to adult victims of modern slavery in the pre-National Referral Mechanism (NRM) stage. The service primarily supports males. Independent Modern Slavery Advocates – Independent Modern Slavery Advocates (IMSAs) are pivotal in establishing partnerships and with key stakeholders, offering direct victim support, training and awareness on modern slavery, and serving as a contact point for professionals seeking technical advice in this field. Support is offered to both males and females. Your contribution can make a significant impact: £50 enables us to provide a comprehensive outreach package to victims of modern slavery, including essential items such as clothing, toiletries, food, and a phone. £100 provides a victim with a night of emergency accommodation at our safehouse, together with associated advocacy support via our IMSA team.

Story

On the 20th June I will be participating in the Rotary Across Wales Walk 2026 – I intend to walk/run the route to raise £500 for victims and survivors of human trafficking and exploitation that the West Midlands Anti-Slavery Network support via their Independent Slavery and Exploitation Advocates.

Monies donated would allow them to purchase essential wellbeing products and activity resources for service users, helping to reduce isolation, improve mental wellbeing, and create opportunities for social connection and personal development.

£20 would purchase some clothing, toiletries and food for our clients and £30 would provide a further opportunity to purchase a mobile phone, thereby connecting clients with supportive networks to aid them in their onward recovery.

Items include the following.

• Some wellbeing activity pack, arts and crafts materials, or resources that support their independence and confidence.

• Clothing

• Essential toiletries such as toothbrush, toothpaste, shower gel

• Mobile phones

• Food parcels

Thank you for your kindness.
