Evie, Greg, Dan, Niall and Ben's Robin Hood Half for the Dylan Rich Legacy Fund

Benjamin Jones is raising money for Dylan Rich Legacy Fund
In memory of Dylan Rich

Robin Hood Half Marathon 2025 · 28 September 2025 ·

We work with charity partners which improve access to sport for young people in and around Nottingham; and which support nature conservancy and sustainable employment in Kenya. These are both causes that meant a lot to Dylan and this charity was set up after his death aged just 17 in 2021.

Story

We are a group of friends - Evie, Greg, Dan, Niall and Ben - who are running the Robin Hood Half Marathon in memory of our dear friend and loved one Dylan Rich, who tragically died, aged 17, in September 2021 following a sudden cardiac arrest whilst playing football for The West Bridgford Colts.

Last January marked Dylan’s 21st birthday, and our aim in running this 21km is to support the Dylan Rich Legacy Fund in meeting their ‘21st Birthday Challenge’ target.

The fund will be used for two purposes, both reflecting Dylan’s interests and passions:

1) To improve access to sport and physical activity for young people in the Nottinghamshire area, particularly where there are barriers to participation.

2) To support nature conservancy and sustainable employment for local people in Kenya.
