I will be running the Dublin Marathon at the end of October to raise money for Turn2me, a national mental health charity.

This is my 6th Dublin Marathon and, as the picture shows, the last time I ran this was in 2016. A lot has happened in that time (aside from my eldest daughter in the cover photo now being nearly 9), including a period where a lot of people’s mental health suffered as a result of the pandemic, cost of living crisis etc and people continue to struggle today.

Whilst I’ve been fortunate not to have been in that position myself, there’s many that have been and it’s important for people to know they can reach out and talk to people in times of need.

I would be grateful for anything anyone could contribute and if you’re around on the day, come out to support the runners, it makes a big difference when trying to get around! I’m not as young as I used to be so with my pace, you won’t miss me!!!
