Three years ago I raised money for the Rotary Club of Portlethen & District Charity Account while learning to walk properly again after multiple illnesses including SEPSIS. I really didn't expect still to be here to celebrate my 80th birthday on 29th April but, hey-ho, here I am.

I have decided to, and started to, walk a mile for every one of my 80 years of happiness. This may take me some time and I cordially invite my friends to get in touch and join me for a "blether" and a dander over the coming month. Don't worry, because I can't go far in a day but a chat for an hour as we wander along and the weather gets better will be very much looked forward to.

If you can't join me, you can still donate to the effort and make my 80th a worthwhile occasion. Our Rotary Club supports local groups, many people in need and internationally over 25 years over 300 children's education in a wee corner of Uganda.
